Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown. Title reads: “Coolidges Greet Mr Santa Claus. Northampton, Mass. - Former President and Mrs Coolidge find Santa busy on charity mission.“ Northampton, Massachusetts, United States of America. Ex-President Calvin Coolidge stands with his wife outside their home. They are talking to Santa Claus (aka Father Christmas). Santa explains that he has come to visit them to give them the first set of seals printed that year (the seals are used on cards and presents at Christmas and raise money for the American tuberculosis association). Coolidge explains what the seals are for and that he hope that the appeal in 1930 will help the work of the TB association in 1931. Intertitle reads: “Kris gets a hand“ Santa sits down and talks to Mrs Coolidge. He asks her to autograph some of the seals (they are like postage stamps). She is delighted and says its a good pen that he has lent her. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR
