Makaravank[2], Agravavank, 13th century Armenian monastic complex in the Tavush region of Armenia, 3 km southwest of Achajur village, on the slope of Paitapat mountain. The Makaravank complex ranks among Aghtamar, Bgheno-Noravank, Gandzasar with its originality, richness and variety of ornaments and occupies an important place in Armenian architecture.
