This interview and performance with Faybiene Miranda on Reggae Strong, was shot in 1989 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY, late afternoon to evening on a beautiful autumn day. Faybiene was interviewed and photographed by our Director, Stafford Ashani, who'd also published, “Sun and Moon“, a small book of poetry with Faybiene and Mutabaruka back in the 1970s. Faybiene performs 3 poems here and also a short rendition of “Prophecy“, her monster reggae classic from 1977. A singular artist and cultural icon, sorely missed by family, fans and glad that we have these remembrances of you.
