To ensure the perennity of his lifelong project, Château du Champ de Bataille, French interior designer, Jacques Garcia has put 75 lots on sale from a Collection which took him 30 years to build. These unique pieces of furniture and decorative arts illustrate a know-how dating back from Louis XIV craftsmanship of which has put France on the world stage of excellence and luxury. Among these masters pieces, top lots include: Adam Weisweiler’s console table –It could possibly be one of the last pieces royally commissioned by Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette, and it surely had not yet been delivered as the king and queen had already been arrested.. The collection includes also one of the most important array of Sèvres porcelain. A pair of large Lagrenée vases, probably proposed at the end of the 18th century to King Charles IV of Spain and later sold to Alexander Hamilton, British Ambassador to Russia, as well as a Sèvres porcelain fond bleu agate-ground ‘vase
