Shot on BURANO: The Knowing | a film by Emmanuel Lubezki, Cristina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen

Three-time Academy Award-winning cinematographer Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki (The Revenant, Gravity and Birdman) and conservation photographers Cristina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen, co-founders of SeaLegacy, traveled to Western Australia with Sony’s new digital cinema camera, the BURANO, to capture footage of the endangered Southern Right Whale and to create an important film on the ocean and the future of the planet. The Knowing was filmed on the VENICE 2 digital cinema camera and the BURANO. The BURANO is the latest addition to the prestigious CineAlta line up of cameras. It features incredible image quality combined with the mobility and flexibility of a smaller camera.
