However, this poses a danger. Not only can the storks be electrocuted, the nests are heavy and can fall onto a train. Falling branches can block switches. And every year quite a few storks are hit. Prorail is not allowed to just remove a nest, especially not when breeding is taking place, and tries to lure them away with nesting posts next to the track. The nests in this film weigh 150 kg and because they were in danger of falling, Prorail provided the nests in this film with a sturdy metal base. What do you think about this? Enjoy watching!
