COMBAT RELOAD Although real world combat reloads are rare on operations, they must be incorporated. What we train on the range, we utilise in the house and depend on in the real world. Being surgical with shot placement negates the requirement, for the most part! However the drills we conduct on a flat range must correlate to the reality we operate in. The execution of a combat reload in a CQB environment is dependant on many variables. Primarily, if the threshold has been crossed or not. A transition to secondary is a better option inside of a room. Although in-shoulder reloads may be employed on a range they have no place in a dynamic CQB environment.
