The talk “Universal optimality and Fourier interpolation“ by Danylo Radchenko on the Moscow Conference on Combinatorics and Applications at MIPT. Annotation: I will talk about recent joint work with Henry Cohn, Abhinav Kumar, Stephen D. Miller, and Maryna Viazovska in which we prove that the E8 root lattice and the Leech lattice are universally optimal. I will also try to explain the main ingredient in the proof, a novel interpolation formula for Fourier eigenfunctions, and some open problems related to it. The full schedule of the conference -
