DAY 1 - Rajasthani Dance Narratives Online Conference at HEARTBEAT OF RAJASTHAN FESTIVAL

DAY 1 of our Online Dance Conference RAJASTHANI DANCE NARRATIVES features 2 important speakers on KATHAK & RAJASTHANI FOLK DANCES: *Manisha Gulyani, Kathak maestro of Jaipur Gharana discusses historical references of Kathak classical Indian dance in Rajasthan. *Himani Joshi, Folklorist and director of Dharohar Folk Institute gives a presentation surveying the wide range of folk dances found on stages in Rajasthan and the communities from which they came. The goal of thie HEARTBEAT OF RAJASTHAN FESTIVAL is to celebrate Rajasthani culture in all its diversity! We were particularly interested in the field of dances performed by women, bridging gaps between classical and folk dances and highlighting both the history and great past of these traditional arts.
