Tonight is a match for gold medal for Women's Boxing 57KG. On the top is Taiwan's Lin Yu Ting who has been in top stories across the world for the controversial issue on gender testing. IBA has disqualified her in 2023 following a second DNA testing which confirmed the first test result in 2022 of Lin Yu Ting having XY chromosomes. Against Lin Yu Ting tonight is relatively a newcomer in the amateur boxing competition: Julia Szeremeta of Poland. This 2024 is Szeremeta's first time to compete in the Olympics and now is looking to win either a silver or gold medal. Szeremeta has recently defeated the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Silver Medalist Nesthy Petecio of the Philippines.
