30 years ago today saw the long-awaited death of Pablo Escobar, the most notorious drug lord of the 20th century. At the height of his prosperity in the 1980s, the Escobar-led Medellin cartel was more powerful than the #Colombian government. While making tens of billions of dollars trafficking cocaine, they made life hell for tens of thousands of Colombians.
