When we saw this at Toys R Us, it seemed way better than the original Lil' Fishys aquarium, and, all things considered, it is better. It is bigger, it has better “toys“ that come with it, and the pirate theme is a huge hit with our boys. The downside of this toy is that it definitely takes an adult (or two) to assemble it. Some of the pieces may seem like they aren't fitting together till you really get them to snap just right, and the instructions aren't much help. Our only other issue is that the fish are to be twisted to turn them on and off, leaving the potential for your child to drop the fish in the water when it is twisted to “off“ and ruin the toy, since there isn't a built in water tight seal. Hope you like our twist on how to use this toy because it turned out to be a great alternative use for our kids!! ()
