LED bulbs have several advantages over traditional incandescent bulbs. They are much higher efficiency and consume between 50% and 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs. They also last a lot longer. Most LEDs are rated to 50,000 hours, as opposed to the average of 1000 hours for incandescent. They have superior light quality with less lumen deterioration. They are safer to operate because they generate less heat and run cool to the touch, therefore greatly reducing the risk of burns or fires.
