Hey Guys, I like to use objects in our everyday world as inspiration for different styles. Many times they don’t turn out, but if you’ve been following us for any length of time then you know that I preach daily practice! Just taking a shot at new things every once in a while will raise your skill and confidence levels tremendously. Today’s tutorial is inspired by the symbol of the medical community called the “Caduceus”. The Caduceus is made up of two snakes wrapped around a staff with a pair of wings at the top. While trying to create this braid I came up with a “stitch” technique to secure odd shapes without the use of Bobby pins. This style may be difficult for new braiders but with patience and practice, I’m sure you can get it!
