Inventor. Hayes, Middlesex. M/S of inventor Mr Benjamin Thomas sitting at a table and smoking a pipe, he takes the lid off a teapot and fills it from patent kettle. C/U extension from kettle which keeps it warm, camera pans to kettle. C/U of Benjamin lighting his pipe with patent lighter, the flame goes over the bowl lighting it evenly. C/U as he closes lighter. C/U cup and saucer, coffee is poured into cup from non-drip bottle, and sugar is added with perspex spoon which is exact measure of a sugar cube. M/S as he squeezes toothpaste in patent squeezer onto brush, it gives out just the right amount to cover the brush. He puts this down and picks up automatic cigarette lighter. C/U showing lighter workings, he pumps air into it and flames light the cigarettes inside, he takes one out and smokes it. M/S as he looks at his watch.
