Happy December! To kick off the holiday season, I’m making a Christmas-colors pour on a divided canvas. I’m using blue tape to create barriers to separate my red and green straight pours, then painting white lines to give it a candy cane look! Thanks to @rainbowacrylicsbyclaire for the inspiration! To prep the canvas, I penciled some lines on 6 inch intervals, and laid blue tape down. I stood the tape upright to make a vertical barrier, which worked mostly fine until the paint started pulling the tape down into the pour! If I was doing it again, I would add some small support pieces of tape along the back side of the barrier, to keep it upright. My paint is all mixed with floetrol (about 3:1 floetrol to paint for the tube paints) and thinned water to a medium-thin consistency. Paint-mixing video is here! I had no silicone in any paints except the ones with *asterisks. White (semigloss or eggshell interior house paint)
