Shamanic Breathing is part of ‘The White Arrow's ‘shamanic offerings. Rebirthing or transformational breathing is mainly a breathing technique that aims to make contact with one's own life energy in a simple way. In a practical sense, it is the connection of the inhalation with the exhalation in a continuous relaxed aim is to free the breath from blockages, so that a natural, full breath is created. We offer this breathing technique under 'SHAMANIC BREATHING', and have given a personal approach and intention to this way of breathing. WHY SHAMANIC? As curandero(a)s in the South American tradition, we have been working in this field of shamanism for more than 25 years, and this has become our habitat. So we use shamanic sounds and healing techniques to guide the process. This can be done through icaros singing, body work and live music or carefully selected playlists or musicmixes. MUSIC This audio-video is a 1 hour mix that serves to accompany you during a personal breathing session. Each audio mix has a unique character, an intention and therefore also its own 'name' and you can therefore feel which music style suits you best at a given moment. A music mix sometimes consists of 3 to 4 songs that are mixed on top of each other to get the desired effect. This results in a beautiful mix that has been extensively tested to guarantee the perfect build-up and depth needed during a Shamanic breathing session. Unlike the Spotify playlist where you just hear the songs one after the other. You can also find the music from this mix in a Spotify playlist which you can find on our artist page of 'THE WHITE ARROW' and check for the playlist 'SHAMANIC BREATHING'. An extra tip for your playlist is to choose a 12 second fade transition in the setting... this ensures that the songs transition smoothly into each other. The disadvantage of a Spotify playlist is that some songs that are very long cannot be shortened as with the mix here on Youtube. IMPORTANT! If a breathing session is completely new to you, we recommend that you first read the instructions on one of our websites: or or at least the short ones below. SHORT INSTRUCTIONS: 1. make sure you cannot be disturbed for at least 1 hour 2. wear comfortable clothes and lie flat on your back 3. as warming up and stretching you can first pump your stomach and then your chest a few times to the maximum with air 4. Do all inhalations and exhalations through the mouth 5. inhale for about 3 to 4 seconds, and at your highest point... 6. just let the air flow out of you, and at your lowest point... 7. breathe in again for 3 to 4 seconds 8. try to breathe in a steady rhythm 9. so there are no stops or pauses anywhere between inhaling and exhaling 10. don't forget to smile! EXTRA INFO & TIPS: - After 5 or 10 minutes, breathing can start to become more difficult, you seem to forget and occasionally drift away into eternal nothingness. This is actually a very nice and soothing feeling, but we try to postpone it until the end of the session. - It happens very often that your hands, arms and feet stiffen and go into a cramp. Don't panic this will pass after a breathing. - This breathing technique could highlight and bring to the surface current and old aches and pains. Both physical and emotional. Stay with it, focusing your breathing on the place of that pain. You are with the pain and you don't run away from it. - Try to breathe this way for at least 15 to 20 minutes. In this way, the respiratory system takes over, and it suddenly seems to go by itself. When it does, you don't have to focus as much anymore on the breathing. - Now you arrive in the zone where the real healing can happen. What must happen will happen. You may feel old themes emerging, things being transformed, insights coming, etc. Just let it happen. - It can also be very liberating and it is certainly advisable to make sound with your voice regularly. Each time you exhale, let the sound flow out that feels necessary for you at that moment. The sound of your own voice acts as a conductor. - You can also massage your abdomen by going deep into your abdominal area each time you exhale. This is definitely recommended when you do a breathing session at the beginning of the day. There are many body massage techniques that are very beneficial during a breathing session, these are taught during our Breathing Coach training () - towards the end of the breathing session, it is good to move your mouth towards a smile. Feel your whole being brighten under the simple movement of a smile. You can put your hands together in the prayer position. This posture, along with a deep smile, exercises the feeling of compassion. It helps you put everything in a different, broader perspective. Enjoy this Shamanic Breathing session, given to you with all our hearts
