Because art is all about the commitment The performance includes me and my sister sitting in silence in a park absorbing the sounds of nature. We’re not allowed to use the internet, or phone in general, which is really hard given that I am constantly online, checking my social media every five minutes and having 11 hours of screen time on average every day. I thought I could do literally nothing and just sit, but due to my adhd I got bored in 15 minutes but luckily my sister brought me a handmade circle to make friendship bracelets. We’ve had a fun time after all, and heard a lot of interesting sounds. There was a lawn mower and we started getting irritated but then we remembered that the point is to embrace all the sounds. This art performance is both a healing experience and a social experiment. It’s been a challenge to sit together in silence on camera and focus on the sounds outside and inside.
