Plot: Kovu's daughter ( Kiara or what I like to refer to as is Hakika ) is growing up and the more she does. The more she resembles the dead Queen and it's slowly killing Kovu on the inside. Detailed Explanation/Plot: - Kovu and Nala have agreed to run pride rock side by side. For the sake of the pridelands and Kovu's daughter Hakika. - She is presented to the herds of the pridelands. Kovu and Nala both swelling with pride. - A few months have passed and Hakika is about to head out with her father. Giving her a thorough tour of the pridelands. She races forward to get a head start and later there both together. - Years later, Hakika has grown into a fine young lioness. Nala happily greets her granddaughter while Kovu is reluctant. Haunted by his memory of Kiara. But the flashback soon ends and both Kovu and Hakika leave pride rock together to practice hunting techniques. But Kovu keeps on dazing out. Filled with remorse, guilt, and misery over his crimes. - Later that evening Hakika joins her father as he lays out under the stars. They talk for a bit but eventually Hakika brings up the topic of 'What happened to mother?'. Kovu immediately turns away and sits away from her. His conscience finally gets the best of him as he spills his dark secrets. - Hakika in shock and dismay gets up and yells at her father. He tries explaining to her that he was under someone's influence. But Hakika doesn't want to here any excuses and runs away crying. Thinking of what could have been if she had a mother. - But something inside of her snaps. She thinks her mother and grandfather deserve justice. So she breaks out from the back of pride rock and runs through the plains. Trying to find her grandmother Nala and tell her everything. When she does she explains everything her father told to her. ( Off screen ) Nala and Hakika call the other lionesses together and try to figure this out, eventually getting enough proof together. Nala wants him dead but Hakika says that would be the easy way out for him. So they will just exile him. - Morning approaches and Kovu is nervous about coming back to pride rock. He notices a large crowd of herds around pride rock. He looks up to see Hakika and Nala angrily looking down at him. Hakika quickly explains and Kovu is baffled. Nala is quick to call for his exile and Kovu can do nothing else but run. - We quickly see a shot of Simba looking down from pride rock ( that's supposed to be his ghost ) watching as Kovu runs away. Kovu runs and stops for a moment just catching a glimpse of his reflection. It's Scar! Shamefully he keeps running until he stops and looks back.
