What up car people? Ariel here, Neccesity is the mother of invention. If you had a project car that you loved but the parts for your end goal aren't readily available or ridiculously priced what are you to do? Well you do some research, make some comparisons and most importantly make things happen. Today I had a fun conversation with a Celica lover with an interesting take on the platform and I thought I would share some insights I gained from that conversation to help inspire and motivate more people to mod the 2zzge . Stay tuned. On this episode I want to share a Celica build all the way from Puerto Rico. This is a unique build in the sense that it has a lot of custom and modified parts meant for other platforms. the key to horsepower is always the same. More air in, more air out and enough fuel for combustion. This Celica belongs to Ed Ros Ed had a custom intake manifold made with Corolla / Matrix XRS runners and a custom plenum to fit a 75mm throttle body. He is also running a skunk 2 header from an 07 civic si with a custom made flange to fit the 2zzge. Ed heard of this mod from a friend with a corolla that was previously running a DC sports header. He claims to have gained 8hp going from the DC sports header to the customized Skunk 2 setup. The brains of Eds Celica as an AEM EMS-4 which allows him to run a 3.5 inch intake since he is now running a MAP sensor rather than a MAF sensor. Ed is no stranger to the 2zz, his previous setup made 193hp and 140tq with stock ported intake and exhaust manifold, exhaust, AEM EMS and a intake. Ed has a truly unique build and I hope it inspires you to much and take the path least travelled. Youre only limited to your imagination so mod accordinly. Thanks for checking out the video car people. Let me know what you think of this build and if you'd like to see more subscriber rides. \m/
