To download the album - During my MA in Ethnomusicology I had the opportunity to learn Khoomii singing (Mongolian throat singing). The song is traditionally a praise song to the Altai Mountains in Mongolia. The version that I have recorded was arranged by my teacher Michael Ormiston. Michael learned Mongolian throat singing in Mongolia through traditional means and developed his own method of teaching the technique to western students.
