The Seax of Beagnoth is an iconic Anglo Saxon long seax - you may not know the name, but if you are interested in historical weapons you will have seen it; but is it everything you assumed? Using a replica I have made we discuss some of the aspects of the piece. The blade is a whopper at 55cm long and 9mm thick and inlaid with wire work on both sides. Geometric work on one side and a runic alphabet on the other - but it is a complete incoherent mess and yet it was very expensive. Can anyone explain to me why this is the case? If you would like to support this channel, I don't do Patreon etc, but I do have some great shops to go and check out - it all really helps This knife was a custom piece from Production replica weapons are available here And T shirts and Merch Music #Rights
