St Mary’s Church in Turville is 12th century in origin, but history aside, the village is most famous as a filming location. Way back in the 1940s Went the Day Well? was filmed here, in the 1960s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang featured the windmill above the village, then in the 90s The Vicar of Dibley and Goodnight Mr Tom were filmed in the village. Most recently the village featured in one of Killing Eve’s most memorable episodes.
