London. Various shots show escapologist Allan Alan being tied up by members of the public on a London street. They and the watching crowd are gathered outside the theatre where Allan is appearing. Allan is then hoisted into the air and hauled to the top of the theatre building. He struggles there to free himself, while the crowd look on, mesmerised - good C/Us of people watching. Allan eventually gets free and seems to be trying to bite through the rope with his teeth. He is finally lowered back down to the ground and a man catches him (his manager? theatre manager?).
