The name Pucaramanta comes from Quechua (Inca language), it means “from the Red earth“. The music of the group “Pucaramanta“ reflects the Indian soul of the Incas. The band was founded in 2002. Today it consists of 35 musicians that the sounds of quenas, Cherokee, panpipes, pututos, zamponas and drums rejoin to their origins in different musical styles. What’s special about the Indian music of Pucaramanta is that it falls back on a very long tradition, at the times before the arrival of Europeans in America
