This solo, set for the dancer Frederik Deberdt, is a miniature through which passes the shadow of Vaslav Nijinsky. Thierry Malandain creates around the desire for elevation and the efforts to be made to reach the summit, referring to the words of André Lendger: 'it is easier today to climb an 8000 meter peak than to climb a few centimeters inside oneself. Nocturnes Ballet for 22 dancers Choreography, Thierry Malandain Music Frederic Chopin Works: Nocturnes Light design, Jean-Claude Asquié Vestiges 'of a black day sadder than the nights' would have said Charles Baudelaire, Nocturnes presents itself like a fresco, like a dream crushed under the weight of an eternal melancholy.
