The process is powered by renewable energy obtained through lightweight, organic transparent solar cells. This technology harvests energy from the sun and water out of the air. A “biotope“ (basically, an area with a uniform biological environment) allows farming even in places where the temperatures are typically too high, like in desert areas. A chimney at the top of the cone sucks in air to capture moisture and produces water through a condensation process powered by solar panels installed on the rooftop. This cone can produce up to 2000 liters of water a day with this technique. Some of this water is used to drink, and some is used to feed around 9,300 plants (tomatoes, asparagus, mint, basil, among others).
