Immediate after Independence Ludhiana City system disturbed most of the Muslim population left to Pakistan. Hindu from Pakistan empty handed came to Ludhiana. All the Muslim property in Ludhiana it was allotted to refugee, a number of people who had no property documents and Pakistani revenue records started to live in rented houses. In Purana Bazar there was a Jain community school. At present it is a JAIN UPASHARIYA and that time the school shifted to the new Jain School the period of 1950-60 there was too much poverty. No work. No food to eat. On Tuesday night hundreds of children gathered in & out side the temples to get sweet Parshad. Mostly Ladies used to collect cows & buffaloes Dungs on the school there was no table for sitting, no water to drink and even there is no bathroom in the school premises for children. Copy pens are not allowed. Children used to come to school barefoot in the hot summer season & cold winter season. #ludhianahistory #ludhianaschool #indiapo
