Eugene Goossens: Oboe Concerto in One Movement, Op. 45 (1927) Leon Goossens with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Walter Susskind Recorded April 26, 1948, in EMI’s Studio No. 1, Abbey Road, London, on 78-rpm matrices CAX 10240 through 10243. Issued as English Columbia DX 1578 and DX 1579 in August, 1949. The concerto, though in one movement, divides into several sections in a variety of tempi. This is how it breaks down, side by side: Side 1 (at 0:08): Moderato; Con moto Side 2 (at 3:04): Tranquillo; Più allegro; Tempo di comenciamente Side 3 (at 5:54): Poco più lento; Poco più moto; Tranquillo (Tempo I) Side 4 (at 9:41): Cadenza; Allegro giocoso; Vivo
