Today we'll be reading from Leviticus chapters 10-12 and Luke chapter 2, verses 1-38. As always, it's good to reflect on what these passages mean today and how they connect the Old and New Testament. The Old Testament can be very strict, as we see in Leviticus 10 with the story of Aaron's sons, Nadab and Abihu, who acted against God's command and were killed. Moving to the New Testament, Luke 2 describes the birth of Jesus. This event is central to our faith as it marks the arrival of the Savior. The story of Jesus' birth, the shepherds, and the prophecies from Simeon and Anna show the fulfillment of God's promises.
