The federal government is considering next steps to counter ‘Chinese oversupply’ of EVs, according to the Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland’s office. The consideration comes after Ontario Premier Doug Ford called on Ottawa to match American tariffs on China-made EVs. Ontario's Economic Development Minister Vic Fedeli explains why the province is worried about these vehicles and whether he's concerned China could retaliate if Canada takes action.
