Mongolia is one of the twenty largest countries in the world, but it has a relatively tiny Catholic community of only about one and a half thousand people. Despite this, the whole world has turned its attention towards the Catholics of this country, mainly due to the recent appointment of the Apostolic Prefect of the Catholic Church in Mongolia Giorgio Marengo as the Cardinal as well as the Papal visit to this country. His Eminence, Giorgio Cardinal Marengo, spoke to Catholic-Inform about the mission of the Catholic Church in Mongolia, the social projects operated there, and the typical ways people convert to Catholicism in the region.
