Credits to Carl Jung (Psychological Types) for the descriptions. Examples of Ne type: Katherine Chernick Fauvre [ndr: marginal T above F], Erik Thor [ndr: marginal F above T] and Taylor Swift [ndr: marginal T above F]. Ne types are natively perceivers by nature due to having an intuitive irrational main frame (motivators with highly divergent mindset as intuition main frame operates fully unrestricted) that sets the primary demands. As reflex most commonly Ne types would get P in MBTI tests, although at times may score as borderline P/J for whatever reason... In rarer occasions such individuals may test or be tested as MBTI J when having a long aux. In third case to observers and tester the auxiliary is more noticeable than the dominant. However, if you ask the person, he/she will report that the dominant function (N) is the main life theme... and just doesn't look that way when observed by others or in testing instruments. Recommended free online test to help finding your jungian type: Sharing some reflections of mine about the MBTI community and what's overall wrong with it including the infamous Grant stack BS: Si-Ne: experience, perspective vs progression, possibility - - - When Ne type individuals move to stage 4 of differentiation, the alternatives are between: Ne-f [jungian ENFP, Ne-Fe-Ti-Si by Jung terms, 4T Sang-Phleg, often IEE in socio]: “People from this type likes the beauty on things, nature and art. They appreciate creative work and consider themselves highly creative. People from this type has a tendency to think on non-conforming ways and to think in terms of symbols and abstraction. They enjoy novelty, variety, and change. They are curious and imaginative. People from this type has a tendency to be more aware of their emotions and usually use abstraction to imagine the emotions of others. People from this type has a tendency to be highly tolerant of others and to value diversity.“ (Vendrah, Typology Triad). Example: Michelle (Psychology and Chill w/ Michi), Albert Camus and Jim Carrey. Ne-t [jungian ENTP, Ne-Te-Fi-Si by Jung terms, 4T Sang-Chol, often ILE in socio]: “People from this type enjoys mental activity, like to think quickly and mentally challenging subject, always trying to make their own minds busy. They love to play with ideas. They are open-minded to new and unusual ideas, and like to debate intellectual issues. They enjoy riddles, puzzles, and brain teasers. They tend to be intellectually curious, appreciative of art, and sensitive to beauty. This type have a facility to think in terms of symbols and abstractions. People from this type are also non-conforming, having a tendency to ‘think’ divergently, and are also creative, curious, imaginative, and also prefer novelty, variety, and change over routine.“ (Vendrah, Typology Triad). Examples of Ne-t: Jessica McCabe (How To ADHD), Albert Einstein and Dr Emmet “Doc“ Brown [Return to The Future] - - - When most MBTI people refer to “Ne“ they don't talk about Jung Ne. They are typically describing manifestation of intuition in a Jung intuitive lead (Ne/Ni) with themes like ideas, creativity, divergence etc... In MBTI lands that's often referred as “NP“ traits. But guess what? The perceiving dominant function a Jung irrational intuitive lead is divergent by nature... Also intuition is about perceiving, not thinking! “Sticking labels on people at first sight is nothing but a childish parlor game. My typology is... not in any sense to stick labels on people at first sight. It is not a physiognomy and not an anthropological system, but a critical psychology dealing with the organization and delimitation of psychic processes that can be shown to be typical. My typology is based exclusively on psychological premises which can hardly coincide with physiological or somatic qualities.” —C.G. Jung Do you wanna learn Jung's original work? Do yourself a favour - go read Psychological Types by Jung. Keep in mind that motivations are enneagram territory [check Katherine Fauvre] and that agreeableness/disagreeableness is linked to heart attitude. Also remember that socionics is NOT Jung's original work. Socio is mostly enneagram based () plus it has different definitions from Jung including Kepinski info metabolism considerations added to the mix as I pointed here: #personality #carljung #jungianpsychology #ne #entp #enfp #howtotype #mbti
