Hospital Corpsman (HM) is an enlisted medical specialist in the U.S. Navy, who may also serve in a U.S. Marine Corps unit. The new Hospital Corpsman “A“ School curriculum developed in 2017 by Navy Medicine Education, Training and Logistics Command, or NMETLC, includes more hands-on, Navy-specific medical training for students to keep in line with the Navy surgeon general’s readiness priority.
