Three days after being attacked by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels, the Greek-flagged oil tanker Sounion continues to burn in the Red Sea. The vessel, which was carrying 150,000 tons of crude oil, is now an environmental hazard, with fires reported at five locations on its deck and part of its superstructure also aflame. Satellite images confirmed smoke near the ship's last known position, and while the EU's Red Sea naval mission reported no obvious signs of an oil spill, the situation remains critical.
