Operating in a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) environment requires members to have a high endurance to tolerate being in a suit and mask for extended periods of time. Since members are unlikely to remove their protective equipment in hazardous environments, troops must learn to familiarise themselves with equipment and procedures that will keep them alive.
