Ukraine's 93rd Brigade led a successful assault to drive Russians out of their trenches near the town of Bohdanivka, to the West of Bakhmut. First-person footage of the assault shows troops of the “Brandenburg-800” and “SIGNUM“ assault groups charging into battle, using flashlights to illuminate the enemy foxholes and grenades to clear them of enemies. The shattered landscape dotted with fires and broken trees resembles another planet after many months of hard fighting over this piece of land. A second bit of footage, captured by the 3rd Battalion of the 93rd Brigade shows a similar assault on Russian foxholes dug into what used to be a tree-line but is now just a line of shattered stumps and scorched earth. The Ukrainians are successful at driving the Russians back, using grenades and rifles to destroy their hiding places. Putin’s men are trying to advance West of Bakhmut towards the town of Chasiv Yar, a strategic piece of high ground just beyond Bohdanivka which would allow Russian artillery to target nearby Ukrainian bases. The town is already under heavy bombardment but experts believe it is not currently at threat of being surrounded or taken by the Russians. #russia #ukraine #war Daily Mail Homepage: Daily Mail Facebook: Daily Mail IG: Daily Mail Snap: Daily Mail Twitter: Daily Mail Pinterest: Get the free Daily Mail mobile app:
