I don't hold with compilations normally but early Peggy Seeger albums are not easy to get hold of. So here you go. I heard Peggy on the radio about 12 years ago just one song “Jane Jane“ and that was it, I suddenly saw the root of a lot of things that are most psychedelic about folk music. Unfortunately I am not a great fan of Ewan McColl so a big period of Peggy's career is cut out. No disrespect intended but that type of hand on ear hardcore trad british folk doesn't do it for me. However I love Peggy when its just Her and the banjo, if anyone has those early albums please upload I just love this stuff. 1 Cumberland Gap 2 The Lady of Carlisle 3 Come All Ye Fair & Tender Maidens 4 Deer Song 5 I Never Will Marry 6 Devilish Mary 7 The Fair Maid by the Shore 8 Three Banjo Tunes: Soldier's Joy/Shadygrove/Georgia Buck 9 The Wife of Usher's Well 10 The Rambling Gambler 11 The Cruel War Is Raging 12 The Trooper and the Ma
