This portrait was drawn in 2010, collected from the fragments that I found on my different disks, something was lost, a lot of time passed, and I'm scattered, sorry. I show you what I found. During this time a lot has changed in my drawing, I already draw portraits in a slightly different way, and I look at my work in a new way. Of course, there are mistakes in the work, but the time and experience of drawing corrects a lot. Nevertheless, I still have mistakes today, where without them, mistakes do not happen only among critics))). Well, okay, my goal is to show the moments of drawing a portrait from a photograph, namely the Dry brush and not the construction of a pencil drawing, how to learn to draw or how to draw proportions, etc., I just acquaint you with the details of my work which will be informative for you. Previously, I was often asked questions about how to draw a portrait using this technique? I answered many questions in the comments and via email. The most important thing is the desire and excitement in work, you should never rush into drawing, otherwise there will be mistakes, blots, which can't always be fixed. It is necessary to use quite a bit of paint, rub it thinly on the palette. Then, lightly touching the paint with a brush, rub it again on a clean palette or on draft paper, and only then can you slowly draw a portrait with a brush on paper. Yes, about the paper, I can recommend Canson watercolor paper, it is sold in many countries and on the Internet. Black oil paint is better to use the one that dries for a long time, e.g. a few days. I use a Faber-Castell eraser which is porous and in my opinion it erases paint better on paper, earlier in the comments, many called it the Magic Eraser))). Well, brushes made of bristles and small ones made of synthetics are selected by typing, which you will like in your work. Today I do not use a scalpel, on rare occasions I use Correction Fluid, I made subtle highlights in the necessary areas, highlights of the eye, earrings, sometimes lips and various shiny details, etc.. The scalpel is only suitable for thick paper. Information about materials and tools for dry brush painting you will find on my website If you have any questions, ask them in the comments, I will answer you as soon as possible. Yes, sorry that I rarely publish drawing video, I will show my videos again in the future with more details in real time, so if you are of course interested in this.
