Psyclopean - Ex Oblivione (Full Album) Psyclopean is a dark ambient and dungeon synth project heralded by Matt Schmitz (of the band Sleestak and Altrusian Grace Media) and started in 2017. Drawing upon the literary works of H.P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith and other weird fiction authors as inspiration, Psyclopean churns out a deep space hybrid of genres that incorporates elements of 60’s psychedelia and 70’s prog. It is the goal of this strange and uncanny music to create an immersive atmosphere that produces vivid images in the mind of the listener - whether they be horrific or enchanting - and ultimately deliver a unique auditory experience.
