New video of the California Guitar Trio classic “Melrose Ave“ on Melrose Ave in Hollywood CA. Video by On February 23, 1991, the CGT were driving in Bert's 67 Buick on the way to play a show at “The Bakery Cafe“ in Hollywood. As they were driving down Melrose Avenue, Hideyo was inspired and he heard some musical ideas in his head. Upon returning to Bert's house, Hideyo worked out the ideas he heard on the guitar and showed Paul and Bert. With more a bit more work, the ideas became CGT's Melrose Ave. The house in the video is the original Bert Lams house in Hollywood where the CGT was formed, composed Melrose Ave and recorded the first CGT album in the living room.
