On two recent days, the Mayon volcano produced more than 100 daily volcanic earthquakes. Since Mayon is already erupting, this has led to some people speculating that a new batch of magma might be moving underneath the volcano. However, I disagree with this assessment, and will explain my own opinion on what caused these quakes.
