The Elusive Samurai is a spectacular historical manga brought to audiences by Yusei Matsui, previously known for his work in Neuro: Supernatural Detective and Assassination Classroom. This new series finally comes animated to TV screens after a popular serialized run in WEEKLY JUMP. After the downfall of the Kamakura shogunate, Tokiyuki Hojo finds himself a survivor in the Hojo clan. Now, he must make his way to survive by fleeing in this time of turmoil. The series has a unique set of talented staff working on the anime. CloverWorks, known for their work on BOCCHI THE ROCK!, will be in charge of animation production, while Yuta Yamazaki, known for his work as assistant director for WONDER EGG PRIORITY, is set to direct.
