Wassily Kandinsky was a Russian artist born in the 19th century. He was one of the first artists to create purely abstract artworks. In the piece Yellow, Red, Blue (1925) Kandinsky has used colours and shapes to create an abstract artwork with two contrasting sides. It may be easier to print out the painting before discussing it. Looking at the left side of the painting where Kandinsky has used primary colours to make clear formed shapes such as a red triangle, yellow square and a blue circle. Black lines and curves move through the shapes. Please support us by subscribing to our channel and don't forget to share the videos.
