This beautiful composition of the early romantic era for a chamber music formation fell into oblivion. This world’s first recording aims to present this wonderful piece of music and to give encouragement to other ensembles to broaden their repertoire. The «Promateur» ensemble “Swiss Orthopaedic Quartet” consists of a professional violinist (Ronny Spiegel) and three amateur musicians (retired orthopaedic surgeons: Fritz Hefti, piano; Josef E. Brandenberg, viola; Luzi Dubs, violoncello) Their recording does not claim for technical perfection but aims to reawaken a forgotten piece of beautiful music. After the first recording of several Piano Quartets (Vinzenz Lachner,1811-1893 opus 10 and Carl Gottlieb Reissiger, 1798-1859, opus 70) on Youtube, there was a astonishingly large echo from the internet audience. This was motivation for further projects. Movements: 00:00 Allegro brillante 14:47 Scherzo. Allegro molto – Trio 22:16 Siciliano. Andantino 30:45 Finale Rondo. Allegro
