In 1968 i build this ruby laser (this was my first laser). I received a second prize in physics au concours “La Science Appelle les Jeunes“ in Switzerland. The ruby rod is doped with % Cr2O3 diameter 12.7 mm and 125 mm long. The flash lamp is a “ Verres et Quartz“ 5 kJ in 2 miliseconds.
