A feast for spotted hyenas, vultures, and crocodiles as they clean up the body of a fallen African elephant. The dry seasons in Kruger can be harsh and elephants can suffer from digestive problems, especially older individuals. Obviously i cant be sure what exactly happened to the elephant. The large numbers of hyenas, vultures, and crocodiles mean that the meat will be consumed fast and any possibility of flies spreading infectious disease will be limited. Once the meat is finished the bones will be scattered by hyenas and other elephants that visit the site, in fact a few days later there was only a piece of the spine left on site. Picture is often hazy due to the heat and distance Filmed in the Kruger National Park, South Africa Subscribe: | Merch: Watch the newest videos: Follow Rob The Ranger: TWITTER: INSTAGRAM:
