Gandalf, Mithrandir, The Elf of the Wand, the Grey Wanderer. He is the embodiment of Tolkien's foremost definition of nobility; The one willing to fight the long defeat. Ever in the heart of the struggle, ever pushing man to achieve their best possible selves. I simply adore the character, old and gruff and layered in adventure, the best version of Odin there ever could be.
