Titles read: “Air Raid Precautions in Yorkshire“. Easingwold, North Yorkshire. Under-secretary of the Home Office, Geoffrey Lloyd visits the Government Anti Gas School and is shown the 'Chlorine Cottage' by two other men. They explain how any gaps around the doors, windows and ventilation shafts are covered with clay and paper strips. Geoffrey and one of the men go inside, while a man wearing a gas mask sets off some gas from a cylinder outside the house. After the test, Geoffrey says he “didn't smell a whiff“ and talks of the value of gas-proofing a room using household accessories costing only a few pence. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
