This is a live coding experiment made while learning how to compose and perform music with SuperCollider. I’m very new to SuperCollider, and I find it extremely fun and exciting to use (but also very challenging). I played this piece live at L’agence TOPO in Montréal, as part of the group concert for Processing Community Day. It was my very first time performing live music of any kind. Despite my anxiety it went mostly well and WOW that was so much fun. Behind the code there’s a sketch running. It responds to the amplitude of the music and to chord changes by receiving OSC messages sent over UDP and . You can find the sketch and the SuperCollider code on the “pcd-set-b” branch of this repository: My live coding setup is a app that you can find here: The mandoline samples are played by Alix Pelletier.
